MICROBE REVOLUTIONS - June 2011

You may be wondering what the picture above has to do with HH crica 2011. Yes, the picture on our front page here shows an old line up of our group, but it retains currency due to the fact that the image is part of "The Human Host Movie" aka our main project circa 2011. The editing sessions for "THHM" have been mostly going according to plan, and it's long standing deadline of completion (January 2012) seems to be within easy reach - the more I look at all this footage, the more psyched I am to just go ahead share this crazy thing with you right now, but, as the saying goes, patience is a virtue.

Summer 2011 will feature only 3 live performances by Human Host all occuring 3 days in a row: one in New Jersey (friday June 17th), one in New York (saturday June 18th), and one in Baltimore (sunday afternoon June 19th - other show details are on our 'shows' page here, naturally). At these three shows we'll be sharing the bills with our fellow (and dare I say, current favorite) Baltimore area artist the one-of-a-kind singer/songwriter Naomi Dee. After that, it's back into the secret underground laboratory of musical/cinematic alchemy for several months as we put the finishing touches on our next full length album 'Jamie', in addition to the afforementioned movie work.

'Jamie' will be the first full length release for us in two years. We finished writing the record a few days ago, so the recording/production work for it will go on for the rest of this summer. It will be completed in the fall, then released as a digital download accompanied by a free black & white poster. It will also come out accompanied by an affordably priced full color poster. The album will also come out as a cdr (with what may be the WEIRDEST custom cd packaging we've ever come up with), a VHS video-cassette (featuring imagery created specifically to accompany the music that makes up 'Jamie' along with unique hand designed cover art adorning each box), and 'Jamie' could possibly be released on even other formats, but details regarding the latter are still foggy at the moment.
